1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and playing Horde Break at https://hordebreak.com ("the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

Other than the content you own, under these Terms, Horde Break and/or its licensors own all the intellectual property rights and materials contained in this Game. This includes, but is not limited to, the game logic, code, UI design, and text.

Disclaimer regarding assets: Many visual assets within Horde Break are generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) or utilize open-standard Emojis. Horde Break is a work of fiction and any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. Parody elements are intended as such.

3. User Accounts and Cloud Saving

If you utilize the Cloud Save feature via third-party OAuth (Google, Discord):

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your third-party login credentials.
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms, utilize malicious exploits, or intentionally disrupt our backend services.
• While we strive for high availability, we do not guarantee that Cloud Save data will never be lost or corrupted. We recommend utilizing the in-game "Save to File" feature as a backup.

4. Acceptable Use and Conduct

You agree not to use the Game for any unlawful purpose or any purpose prohibited under this clause. You agree not to use the Game in any way that could damage our website, services, or the general business of Horde Break.

Specifically, you must not:

• Attempt to hack, destabilize, or inject malicious code into the Supabase backend.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or external software to maliciously interact with the leaderboards or cloud database. (Using the in-game Cheat Console provided by the developer is allowed and encouraged).
• Use offensive, discriminatory, or illegal text when choosing a custom Player Name. We reserve the right to reset names that violate this rule.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Game is provided "as is," with all faults, and Horde Break makes no express or implied representations or warranties, of any kind related to this Game or the materials contained on this website. Horde Break does not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Horde Break, nor any of its officers, directors, and employees, be held liable for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your use of this Game. Horde Break shall not be held liable for any indirect, consequential, or special liability arising out of or in any way related to your use of this Game, including but not limited to loss of data or progress.

7. Modifications to the Game

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Game or any service to which it connects, with or without notice and without liability to you. This includes balancing updates, resetting leaderboards, or altering in-game progression systems.

8. External Links

Our Game may contain links to external sites (such as Discord or Patreon) that are not operated by us. We have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies or terms.

9. Revisions

Horde Break is permitted to revise these Terms at any time as it sees fit, and by using this Game you are expected to review these Terms on a regular basis.
